Even if you’re not into TikTok, you may have heard that there are corners of the generation Z-dominated app that are all about home design. One trend seen repeated in countless videos is users filming the things in their (insert various descriptor here) home that “just make sense.” Model Ashley Graham recently did her own version, and in the process showed off an NYC apartment that really caught our eye.
“Things in my apartment that I share with a one-year-old that just make sense,” she says at the start of the video. She proceeds to show off a large, beige-colored couch with a wide ledge in the back that she jokes “doubles as a cup holder” so her son Isaac can’t spill her drink. “It’s also short, so it’s fall proof,” she writes. Next she pans across a beautiful table made of weathered-looking wood. You wouldn’t notice it at first glance, but part of one of the legs is wrapped in black duct tape, to stop Isaac from chewing on it, she explains.
Kids’ toys—including Mr. Potato Head— sit among the decorative items on a high wood bookshelf that matches the table. The last few seconds of the video show Isaac’s nursery, where there is a large stuffed giraffe. This is anything but a surprise—the oversized stuffed animal has become extremely popular to the point of being a status symbol in recent years. It has been seen many times in the pages of AD, in the homes of Kourtney Kardashian, Nicky Hilton, Lily Aldridge, and more stars.
Graham tags Havenly in the video, a virtual interior design service that helped her outfit the home. The baby-proof choices will definitely come in handy for her and her husband, Justin Ervin, for quite some time. After welcoming Isaac in January of 2020, they announced last month that baby number two is on the way.
