Emmy award winning writer and producer Lena Waithe is ready to put down roots in Studio City, specifically a sprawling modern mansion she purchased for $6.4 million from Swedish DJ and record producer Alesso, reports Dirt. The 6,587 square foot home marks a major upgrade from the Mount Washington bungalow that the Master of None actor previously resided in.
Built in 2017, just about everything in the six bedroom, eight bathroom estate is top of the line, from the security equipment to the luxe primary suite that features dual dressing rooms, dual bathrooms, and most impressively, technology that allows it to instantly transform into a screening room. Thanks to surrounding tall hedges, the expansive outdoor space is plenty private, whether you’re in the pool, relaxing at one of the surrounding lounge areas, by the fire pit, seated in the dining area, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, or enjoying the backyard’s infrared sauna. The home also features two large balconies, one at the front of the house and one at the back, both with plenty of space for outdoor furniture and additional greenery.

While the exterior of the home is partially panelled with wood, and the patio is decked out in similar panelling, the interior of the house is all greyscale, with a variety of marble accents used throughout the house, along with textured wall coverings in select rooms that add dimension to the space. Waithe will undoubtedly infuse the property with her personal style. In the past, in both her previous home and production company’s office, she worked with interior decorator Amie Mays to fully realize her vision.
