Nate Berkus Is the U.S.’s Most Googled Designer—Find Out Who Else Is on the List

Over the past 17 months, designers have collectively spent a fair amount of time tapping into the internet for virtual inspiration—be it on TikTok, Instagram, or Google. But while the search engine contains a wealth of visual and inspirational information, its query data also offers a revealing glimpse into which of today’s top designers truly pique the interest of average individuals. And thanks to information compiled by Design Bundles, we now have a sense of which big-name interior designers Americans want to know more about.

Nate Berkus reigns supreme as Google’s most-searched-for interior designer, according to a recent analysis.

Topping the list of America’s most Googled interior designers is Nate Berkus. Between his eponymous design firm, frequent Oprah Winfrey Show appearances, and status as cohost of TLC hit Nate & Jeremiah by Design, he’s racked up an average of 50,000 Google searches a month. Fittingly, Berkus’s cohost and husband, Jeremiah Brent, isn’t far behind, claiming third place with more than 33,000 searches of his name each month.

Sandwiched between Nate and Jeremiah is Bobby Berk, the popular design pro who pulls off renovation magic as part of the cast of the Netflix hit Queer Eye. Though he may not enjoy quite the crossover star power of his costar Jonathan Van Ness, 40,500 monthly Google searches—plus an estimated $7,505 earned per sponsored post he shares with his 2.8 million Instagram followers—is no small feat. AD100 Hall of Fame member Kelly Wearstler rounds out the top four with 27,100 searches a month.

Following Wearstler are two designers whose brand reputations precede their names—at least as far as Google is concerned. Jungalow, Justina Blakeney’s signature brand that fuses bold color, tropical motifs, and comfort, draws just under 15,000 searches a month. Similarly, Laplace, the AD100 architecture and interiors practice cofounded by Luis Laplace and Christophe Comoy, clocks in at 12,100 monthly searches in the U.S. Further down the list, in ninth place, Style by Emily Henderson also draws in 4,400 American Googlers each month. Axel Vervoordt (seventh), Philippe Starck (eighth), and Peter Marino (10th) round out the rest of the top 10.

Of course, search data is an inexact science. Yet it’s a useful shorthand for taking the pulse of design fans and their current predilections. Because even if Instagram still seems to reign supreme, you can’t totally rule out the power of Google search.
